Remote Education

Derry Hill Primary School is committed to providing the best possible education to all students in the event that normal school attendance may not be possible.

The school would only consider providing remote education to students in circumstances where in-person attendance is either not possible or contrary to government guidance. This might include:

  • Occasions when opening the school is not possible to do safely or is contradictory to guidance from local or central government.
  • Occasions when individual students are, for a limited duration, unable to attend school but are able to continue with their learning.

Following the DfE’s guidance on providing remote education, Derry Hill School use the Oak National Academy to support the delivery of remote learning. The school may also supplement this with additional resources made available via the website and Microsoft Teams.
