Teaching Assistant and MDSA

This is an exciting opportunity for a caring, enthusiastic person to join our very dedicated and highly motivated team at Derry Hill School.  We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support our children and teacher in one of our Key Stage Two Classes (flexibility to work across school is required).  The role also includes midday supervisory duties across school between 12 noon and 1pm. 

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Have a good awareness of safeguarding, equality and diversity

The hours for this position are 22.5 per week, you will be required to work from 8.30am to 1pm Monday to Friday.

Learning Support Advisor & MDSA

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic learning support assistant to work with some of our SEN and pupil premium pupils across school.  The position will be 22.5 hours per week (LSA) and 5 hours per week (MDSA) term time only.  Please call for more detailed information.

The successful candidate needs excellent communication and liaison skills and will be closely supported by the class teachers and SENCO, along with all staff in our very dedicated and highly motivated team at Derry Hill.

Previous experience of working with children with SEN needs is essential and experience of working with children with trauma would be desirable. 

The role will also include working across school as an Midday Supervisor during lunch time.

Admin Officer - Part Time

The Governors of Derry Hill School are looking for a well-organised, confident and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to help with the efficient running of our school office.  This is a very important role within the school and requires an individual with strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills, and the ability to organise and work to deadlines. 

Derry Hill C E VA Primary School is a village school set in beautiful countryside. We pride ourselves on our warm and nurturing environment where children and adults are encouraged to be the very best they can be.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, committed and hardworking, has a good sense of humour, is able to work as part of a team and will support the ethos of the school.

All about the role:

In this role you will work closely with the School Business Manager, Headteacher and Admin Officers. Knowledge and experience of working in a school would be desirable although training will be provided.
